We were saddened to learn of Ruth Beechick's death in late 2013. Ruth was a lifelong teacher, both in the classroom and as a curriculum writer. She was a mentor to the late Debbie Strayer, author of our Trail Guide to Learning series. Ruth's teaching philosophies heavily influenced Debbie's and helped shape the Trail Guide to Learning series. Ruth will be greatly missed. To honor Ruth and her contributions to homeschooling, we are giving away a copy of three of her books: The Three R's, You Can Teach Your Child Successfully, and Dr. Beechick's Homeschool Answer Book. She ,through her books, is still a fountain of encouragement to me.

I haven’t had the opportunity yet to read any of her books, but would love to! I’m sure they would be a great help to our homeschool.

Beechick’s guidance was invaluable as we struggled to find our homeschool groove. Using literature as our guide and patience for both myself and the children we gradually found a way to work together for success. Thank you Dr. Beechick!

Such a wise woman and a huge loss.

I’ve not read any in this bundle, but have read A Biblical Home Education. I feel more confident with our relaxed, natural and fun way of learning — we may call it “doing school”, but it is certainly not how most view school. It’s what feels right — and knowing it is not just me having fun or being lazy gives me what I need to stick with it and not conform to someone else’s ideas.
